| Levaquin(levofloxacin) is used to treat infectious diseases: Pneumonia, bronchitis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, urinary tract infections, skin infections.
There are certain bacteria which grow and reproduce in a body causing bacterial infections: streptococcus, enterococcus, staphylococcus, clamydia, etc. Preparations which stop breeding of bacteria and destroy them are called antibiotics. It inhibits bacterial enzymes, which are necessary for multiplication and recombination of bacterial DNA. Thus, levaquin demolishes DNA of gram-positive bacteria: - Enterococcus faecalis, Stapnylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Streptococcus pneumonias, Streptococcus pyogenes, gram-negative bacteria - Enterobacter cloacae, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzas, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Legionella pneumophila, Moraxella catarrhalis, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other microorganisms - Chlamydia pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Levaquin is completely destroys all these bacterial forms. Intake levaquin with full glass of water. Take Levaquin 1 hour before or 2 hours after food intake. Levaquin absorbs into organism fast and completely from the stomach after intake. Peak of concentration is attained after 1-2 hours after intake. |
